3 Ingredient BBQ Chicken
This 3 ingredient BBQ chicken is so quick and easy, but it’s packed with flavor. It’s the perfect recipe for a hot summer night!
Let’s talk about the marinade. It’s so simple and delicious, and you probably have everything you need in your pantry right now. Just mix equal parts of your favorite BBQ sauce with your favorite bottled Italian dressing! That’s it, folks! Doesn’t get any easier than that! And it’s the perfect combination of sweet and tangy.
I love to use boneless, skinless chicken thighs for this recipe. I have found that chicken thighs are much more forgiving for novice grillers like me. They stay tender and juicy even if you overcook them a little. But you can totally substitute chicken breasts or even pork chops if you prefer.
Once you get your chicken in the marinade, just let it sit and do its thing. It can hang out for an hour or a day, whatever works for your schedule. I like to mix it up in the morning and throw it on the grill for dinner. You could also put the marinated chicken in a freezer bag and freeze it for another day.
As I said, I am not a professional grill master. But luckily, you don’t have to have a lot of grilling skills for these chicken thighs to turn out tender and juicy. I just fire up my gas grill, get it preheated to a medium low heat, and cook the chicken thighs for about 10 minutes on each side. That’s it! Simple perfection.
When I make this recipe, I try to cook a few extra pieces of chicken. You can store the leftovers in the fridge for a few days and use them in salads, wraps, or sandwiches.
