Hi, I’m Ashley. I’m a wife, mom of three, and home cook passionate about feeding my family wholesome, nutritious food.

I have always loved to cook. My mom is a great cook and I spent a lot of time with her in the kitchen as a child. In college, my roommates and I enjoyed cooking together and sharing meals with our friends. As a young wife, I loved experimenting in the kitchen and trying new ingredients and recipes.

As we began to grow our family, however, things began to change. I no longer had the time to spend hours in the kitchen making meals from scratch. I struggled to find balance in my life and turned to convenience foods and takeout to save time and energy.

Over time, our wallet, waistlines, and overall health began to show the effects of our poor eating habits. I wanted to do better for my family. I started to change the way I cooked by finding simple, easy recipes, using shortcuts, and planning ahead.

Today, our lives are busier than ever. The kids are growing up, and they keep us busy with activities and events. But I make it a priority to cook at home most nights and prepare meals and snacks that we can take with us when we’re out and about.

My Mission

I see a lot of other families struggling with these same issues. It’s so much easier to grab fast food or takeout and move on with what needs to be done. But cooking and eating at home has so many benefits for both our physical and mental health.

No matter what you make, a home cooked meal is generally better for you than a restaurant meal. Sharing a meal as a family is also a great way to spend quality time together. Today’s hustle and bustle lifestyle can make it difficult to slow down and enjoy each other’s company. But carving out a little time in the evenings to share dinner together can help you reconnect after a busy day.

It starts with simple, easy recipes using family friendly ingredients that are inexpensive and easy to find at your local grocery store. I’ll also show you some shortcuts to save you time in the kitchen and some ideas to help you plan ahead.
