Easy Broccoli and Cheese Recipe

This quick and easy broccoli and cheese recipe comes together in a snap and is a perfect side dish for any meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 12 oz can evaporated milk *be sure it's not sweetened condensed milk
  • 1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese *or any cheese you like
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 16 oz bag frozen broccoli *can substitute fresh broccoli

Method
 

  1. Heat evaporated milk over medium low heat 3-5 minutes or until thick and bubbly.
  2. Slowly add in cheese while whisking to prevent clumps.
  3. Add seasonings and stir together until well incorporated.
  4. Turn off heat. Cover sauce and keep warm while cooking broccoli.
  5. Cook frozen broccoli according to package directions (I steam mine in the microwave).
  6. Top cooked broccoli with cheese sauce and mix well.
  7. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
